IStip RQT Conference: Broadening Horizons
London, Thursday 7th March 2019
IStip is holding a one-day conference for Recently Qualified Teachers on the theme of Broadening Horizons.
It will be held at Broadway House, Tothill Street, London SW1 on Thursday 7th March 2019. The cost per delegate is £200.
The day will begin with registration at 9.30-10.00am, with conference proceedings starting at 10.00am with the keynote address:
- Challenges ahead in (Independent) Education
Julie Robinson, General Secretary of the Independent Schools Council (ISC).
There will also be three breakout sessions during the course of the conference:
- Managing colleagues: Having courageous conversations
Teacher, trainer and coach Emma Gleadhill;
- Reflective practice in teaching: Creating a secure base for learning
Clinical psychologist Nic Yeates;
- Inspection, Compliance & Regulation
Freelance educational consultant Durell Barnes, former deputy director and head of communications at the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
The day will conclude with a panel and Q&A :
- Developing Your Teaching Career
Ian Power, Membership Secretary HMC/Chair of IStip Board;
Claire Robinson, Head of Holme Grange School/Chair of Panel;
Colin Bell, CEO of The Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
There will be plenty of time for networking with your fellow conference attendees. Morning coffee, refreshments and lunch will be provided. The conference will conclude at 3.45pm.
The final day for booking your place is Friday 18th January 2019. Places are strictly limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
