IStip Annual Report

IStip publishes an Annual Report at the end of each academic year.

The latest report covering 2017-2018 has just been added to the site, giving a headline summary of our work over the last 12 months.

IStip RQT Conference 2019

Updated September 2018

IStip will holding a conference for Recently Qualified Teachers on the theme of Broadening Horizons, which will take place in London on Thursday March 7th 2019.

The keynote address Challenges ahead in (Independent) Education will be given by Julie Robinson, General Secretary of the Independent Schools Council (ISC).

There will be breakout sessions on Managing colleagues: Having courageous conversations, Reflective practice in teaching: Creating a secure base for learning and Inspection, Compliance & Regulation

And there will also be a panel and Q&A session on the subject of Developing Your Teaching Career, as well as time for networking with your fellow attendees.

We’ve added the latest findings from our regular annual surveys of Induction Coordinators and Tutors and of Newly Qualified Teachers for 2017-2018.

Pro formas and guides for 2018-19

We’ve updated the site with all the new pro formas and guides that teachers and coordinators/tutors will need for the upcoming academic year 2018-19.

Newly Qualified Teachers can find all the new NQT pro formas and guides needed for their induction here.

And Coordinators/Tutors can access all the pro formas and guides required for their role in teacher induction here.

Registration deadlines for 2018-19

Updated: May 2018

We have added deadlines for registering an NQT in 2018-19:

  • Wednesday, September 12 2018 (for a 2018 autumn term start)
  • Friday, January 11 2019 (for a 2019 spring term start)
  • Wednesday, April 26 2019 (for a 2019 summer term start)

There are more details available about completing the registration process.

We have also updated our guidance for Tutors using the NQT Manager to register NQTs.
